Everyone needs a guide or two in their life. Where would Karate Kid be without Mr Miyagi? Becoming a mentor is more than just having experience and expertise to share with a mentee, it’s important to have the right skill sets. When you get it right the impact on the mentee can be life changing and lead to fast-tracking their career. At the heart of mentoring is the ability to coach, listen to and challenge mentees in an appropriate manner. Navigating effective conversations with your mentee starts with clearly understanding the roles and responsibilities of a mentor, building permission and trust, and having effective communication strategies in your tool box. 

Key outcomes:

    • Understand how to manage a learning conversation, adapt to potential challenges & facilitate a mentee personal development plan.
    • Learn how to discover & amplify the mentee’s strengths, & help them bridge gaps that are identified.
    • Create an environment that is psychologically safe & a growth mindset is encouraged.

Duration – 2x days (4hrs per day)
